This book makes so much sense. It’s very easy to read and understand, yet gives you tons and tons of scientific research and examples.
I can’t see any way that this is bunk or wouldn’t work. It has for lots of people.
There are lots of recipes, and I’m torn on those. There are flavor combinations I wouldn’t have dreamed of, and some sound interesting, some are just startling.
The type of food you need to eat to restore the proper levels of your stomach, and heal your digestive system are not amongst my favorite foods, so I’ve been hesitant to try it. However, it’s so convincing that I will try it, and hope to feel better.
Wow…., simply WOW.
Annaleise Carr is one of a kind, a very inspirational young woman, who achieved the near impossible, simply because she believed in herself and worked hard, extremely hard, to achieve it.
Many would have cracked under the strain of the punishing training regime, or quit when the weather turned, it’s cold, dark, you’re in pain and hours off course….but Annaleise kept going and going, regardless of all the obstacles she faced.
Unbelievable, yet true.
I’m glad I read this book before I looked at other reviews. wow, there’s some bad ones out there. And that totally surprised me. I really really liked this book and I’m going to get the next books in the series in a heartbeat.
I thought it was well written, I liked the characters and thought the plot was fun. I read this in just a few hours, and never got bored or found it tedious. I’m really excited for the next installment.
I really enjoyed this book. I love horses and could identify with the bond the girls shared with their horses.
Yes, the story was a bit unrealistic. Everyone accepted time travel easily and without much fuss. Would I cause a fuss if this happened to me? umm…..yeah, big melt down. But it’s fiction, it doesn’t have to be realistic, just enjoyable to read.
And this book fulfilled that in spades. I loved the escapades and adventures, the friendships, the different time periods, just everything about this book was really well done.
I look forward to reading more books from this author.
DNF unfortunately. I usually give books 20-25%, and if I’m still not into it, I will stop reading.
The premise of this one sounded fun, and it started off really good. The opening scene in the bookstore had be hooked right away. But then it just fizzled for me.
I found it hard to read, and hard to pick up instead of hard to put down. And that’s always the ultimate test for me. I didn’t connect with the writing style, the writing felt stilted and awkward, and didn’t make the book flow, where you really need to go somewhere, but you want just one more page, and then just one more.
Overall, the plot sounds intriguing and unique, and to me promised a great book. I’m sure other readers will love this one.
Wow, those Russians were a rough bunch…..no shortage of debauchery, betrayal, murder and madness, and when you think you’ve read it all, there’s more.
A really interesting fun read, if you’re not to squeamish. Not like the author gets graphic with his descriptions, but those guys were no shrinking violets. If you have a vivid imagination, you will cringe like I did, while reading.
The tone of the book is factual and more like story telling, without sensationalizing or going for shock value. I recommend this book.
AWESOME BOOK. Seriously one of the top 3 dystopian NA books I’ve read so far. And since the market is getting flooded with them recently, I’ve read quite a few.
But despite the many I’ve read, this one is fresh and new. It’s got great settings, a new perspective and a great voice. The characters are beautifully done. It was a joy to read, and impossible to put down. I’ll be keeping my eyes open for more from this author.
