I had high expectations for this book, but it left me feeling kinda blah about it.

Maybe I have business self-help book overload, I just wasn’t blown away by this.

The majority of the book got skimmed as I wasn’t sucked into reading each word and looking for the gold nuggets, the magic bullet.

Shades of The Breakfast Club, but younger, funner and more exciting.

I thought this book was well written and I enjoyed the characters. The plot was really good, exciting and smart. A very fun read, highly recommended for YA. Oh, who am I kidding? Highly recommended for readers of any age, even those who remember The Breakfast Club as a new release movie 🙂

Focused on chocolate in the UK, but a fun and quick read.

I lived in England in the very early 80’s, and this book brought some great memories back and made me smile.

Short and sweet

Extremely well written.

Reads like a novel, but is based on well-researched facts. It brings the Romanov sisters, brother and parents to life in a way that no other book on the subject has been able to.

It does what many biographies struggle to do: bring the subject to life, make them real people, and at the same time be an engrossing as a novel.

Exceptional book. Highly recommended.

A beautiful story with gorgeous illustrations.

What makes this story especially heartwarming, is that it is based on true events. A real Christmas miracle.

So amazing that this event didn’t happen in isolation, but sprung up all over the place.
